It was a massive jubilation today at Egborode Community in Okpe LGA of Delta State, as the Team of African Child Foundation ably represented by My humble self the Country Representative with the help of the Delta State Government through the Child Development department of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and social development, Re-united Master Temisan Samuel the only son of a Parent whom have been missing since 2015. Master Samuel who was taken to Okitikpukpa in ONDO State for child labour ran out of the home of his trafficker since 2015 and was long forgotten owing to divination, prophesies and seers who told Samuels parent that the boy was dead, through the help of the police, the social workers and care givers of the African Child Foundation and the Government of Delta State, Master Samuel is back home. On seeing master Samuel and the Team the Mother went unconscious for few seconds in disbelief, my years as a Social worker uniting families, rehabilitating stubborn children, advocacy against social vices and deliberating on family welfare cases I have never seen such a genuine people appreciating the very little we have done in this magnitude. The well united and hospitable people of Egborode, gave us an heroic reception dancing round the Community, then proceeding to the family house of Master Samuel and later at the Egborode Community town hall where elders, Youths, Women and Children sang praises to God,offering thundering prayers of good will to God and ceaseless show of appreciation to the African Child Foundation and the Government of Delta State, the entire community gave us kola nut, supporting same with monies in deferent denominations in a show of genuine love and appreciation for the effort of the team, no better feeling of fulfillment like service to Humanity, thank God for the opportunity to serve, am humbled, to God be the glory.
