This was disclosed by the Country Director, Prince Donaldson Onosakponome, who stated that the 2017 International Day of the African Child, will hold June 16 at Oriental Hotels, Lekki, Lagos. His words: “ACP is a value-driven project of the Foundation for recognizing and rewarding citizens,  products and organizations who put Africa first, have demonstrated the ability  for social-economic progress of the continent, and promoted excellence in the academic sector.” Onosakponome emphasized that; “As partners in the African Union peace initiative, we seek to introduce a paradigm shift to the image of Africa; to portray Africa in a positive light, as opposed to the negative reporting by the Western Media. Our goal involves showcasing Africa as having some of the best brains in the world, leveraging on the remarkable performance of Africans and institutions, particularly those that have been an inspiration to youths and children who constitute 72% of our population.”
